Embroidery is part of craft but only used on fabrics. embroidery needs just a needle to apply thread and with it, you can use other materials too like pearls, stones, glitter, beads. You can try such different patterns with thread on fabric to create beautiful embroidery.
Now we are using so much technology in everything to make our work easy and rapidly. Embroidery is very time-consuming and it takes patience but due to this technology, this is now very easy to do so. Before any of these inventions, people used to do embroidery just with their hands.
INIFD Gandhinagar arranged an online lecture on one type of embroidery called running stitching.
Running stitch or we can call it straight stitch is the basics of embroidery in which all types of embroidery are based. This type is mostly used in hand sewing or tailoring. The Running Stitch also has types like the Looped Running Stitches, Laced Running Stitches, Whipped Running Stitches, and more.
In fashion designing just making cloth designing or choosing fabric is not sufficient so Fashion designers should learn some more creative ideas to use it in clothes. One of them is embroidery so INIFD Gandhinagar proffered this topic for students to learn something creative like all the time.
Students from The new batch of 2020 fashion designing at INIFD Gandhinagar are so innovative and they did so well from the learning in an online class about this Running stitching.
Zalak Patel a first-year student of fashion designing at INIFD Gandhinagar did this running stitch in the shape of a pretty peacock with the use of yellow, green, pink, and more color of tread in it very perfectly.
And one more student here did her amazing work in Running stitch by adding some stones in it.
This Simple fabric looks so amazing now after using Running Stitch embroidery.
